Be a part of Rhode Island's future
Construction of the $60 million Center will be primarily funded by a $50 million voter-approved state bond initiative. Private and industry gifts totaling $10 million are also being sought to complete this project. These gifts will play a critical role to the Center and ensure the Center's position in contemporary higher education, modern workforce development and cutting-edge research.

The Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences initiative is part of the University of Rhode Island’s "Making a Difference" campaign. Through this campaign, URI seeks at least $100 million to recruit and retain outstanding faculty, enhance the student-centered campus experience, provide scholarships, and fund cutting-edge academic and research initiatives.

With your support, the classrooms, specialty laboratories, instrumentation, and public spaces in the Center will be as modern and innovative as the building itself. If you want to truly “make a difference” to both URI and Rhode Island, if you share our vision for a healthier citizenry, a safer and cleaner environment, and a knowledge-based economy with higher wage jobs, we hope that you will make a contribution to CBLS and help drive the next economic revolution for Rhode Island. |
