New England Association of Schools and Colleges Accreditation
Fall 2010 NEASC Focused Evaluation
October 31-November 2, 2010
This fall, URI is undergoing a focused evaluation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) in response to three areas highlighted in our last comprehensive accreditation review in 2007:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive, integrated financial planning process that provides clear and robust links to academic and capital priorities;
- Implementing and systematic process of academic program review;
- Analyzing the implications for planning and governance of possible changes to the relationship between the University and the State of Rhode Island.
The focused evaluation report was submitted on September 10, 2010, and the follow-up visit is scheduled for October 31-November 2, 2010. The April 3, 2008 letter requesting the focused evaluation, the final report sent to NEASC in September, the visiting team members, and the tentative schedule for the team visit are linked below.
