Robert A. Weygand is Vice President for Administration at the University of Rhode Island where he serves as the senior business officer responsible for all matters related to the administration, business, finance, capital development and operations of the University. Vice President Weygand is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Landscape Architecture at URI and a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Prior to URI, Vice President Weygand was the President and CEO of the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) which coordinates unique collaborations among New England colleges, including the New England Higher Education Compact and the Regional Student Program. Vice President Weygand is a former United States Congressman, Lieutenant Governor and State Representative from Rhode Island.

Sharon Kenyon joined the University's Division of Administration in March 2005 as Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Administration. Sharon has an extensive administrative background for executive staff in state government (elementary, secondary and higher education) that includes meeting and event coordination, project planning and support, as well as para-legal and research experience. She holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration and Information Systems and is continuing her education at the University of Rhode Island.

Liliana Costa is the Assistant to the Vice President for Administration, and joined this division in 1998.  Since the construction of the Ryan Center and Boss Arena in 2001, she is also the Contract Administrator of the Global Spectrum management contract. She has 30 years of wide-ranging administrative experience in higher education and town government.  She holds a B.A. from Rhode Island College and a Certificate from Brown University’s Management Development Program.

Linda A. Barrett is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and has served as Director of Budget & Financial Planning since 1990. During her tenure at the University which began in 1973, she has also served in interim roles as Associate Vice President for Finance, Controller and Vice President for Business & Finance.

J. Vernon Wyman is the Assistant Vice President for Business Services. He grew up in Rhode Island and enrolled in the University of Rhode Island in the fall of 1971, earning his Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1975.  He pursued graduate work in the University’s Masters Degree program in Community Planning and Area Development from 1976 through 1978, serving as a graduate student employee during this period administering the work of the University’s Space Allocation Committee. Mr. Wyman has worked in the University’s business and finance administration under three University Presidents, Frank Newman, Edward Eddy, and Robert Carothers.  He served twice as “Interim Vice President for Business and Finance” in FY 1994-95 and in FY 1998-99.  He also ran the Facilities and Operations Department as Director from 1995 to 1998, being hired as the Assistant Vice President for Business Services in 1998, the position he holds today.

Sharon B. Bell, CPA, is the University Controller.  She is responsible for Financial Reports, Financial Systems, Accounts Payable, Travel, General Accounting, Payroll, Grants & Contract Accounting and Student Loan. Sharon is a Certified Public Accountant.  She graduated from Bryant University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  After graduation, Sharon worked in public accounting for 5 years and in private industry for 3 years.  Prior to coming to URI in June 2004, Sharon was the Corporate Controller at the RI Airport Corporation, a quasi state agency, for 10 years.

Anne Marire Coleman is the Assistant Vice President for Human Resouces and is responsible for leading all of the human resource functions including; recruitment, employee benefits, classification and compensation, and labor relations. In addition to her position at the University, Anne Marie also serves as the Director of Labor Relations for the Office of Higher Education where she is responsible for negotiating and administering all of the collective bargaining agreements within the higher education system.

Maria DiSano is the Senior Auditor for the Department of Internal Audit. Maria achieves mission critical audit and University objectives by conducting and coordinating internal audit activities in collaboration with the greater University community. Maria is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. Prior to coming to URI in 2004, Maria worked for the State Auditor General's Office and the Rhode Island Office of Higher Education. She holds a B.S. in accounting from Providence College.

Terry Butler is the General Manager of the Ryan Center and Boss Ice Arena, and he has overseen both facilities since their opening in 2002.  Previously, he served in a similar position at the University of South Alabama and the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga. Global Spectrum manages both venues, and Terry oversees the staff and daily operations on behalf of the University of Rhode Island. A member of the International Association of Assembly Managers, he currently serves on the Arena Committee, after many years service on the Universities Committee.

Thomas H. Mitchell is the Director of the W. Alton Jones Campus and has over 26 years of experience working in higher education.  Hired at the University of Rhode Island in 1986, Tom previously worked at Rhode Island College as the Assistant Director of the Rhode Island Educational Opportunity Center.  He holds a Master's in Community Planning and Area Development from the University of Rhode Island, as well as an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from Rhode Island College.  He has also served for over 20 years as an adjunct faculty member in the Computer Studies and Information Processing Department for both Rhode Island College and the Community College of Rhode Island.
