The URI “carbon footprint” for FY2007, or eCO2 emissions per square foot of buildings on all four campuses, is approximately 22 kg eCO2/ft2, and has remained essentially constant since FY1996. Green house gas emissions in FY2007 were approximately 7 metric tons eCO2/student and 6 metric tons eCO2 per total URI community (faculty, staff and students) and have also remained nearly constant from FY1996 to FY2007.
