Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship is a merit-based scholarships offered by the University of Rhode Island to two-year college students entering URI as members of Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society.


Eligibility Requirements:
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.5 in 24 or more transferable courses
  • Current membership in Phi Theta Kappa
  • Admission to a URI undergraduate degree program
  • URI must be your first four-year institution
  • US citizens and permanent residents only

Scholarship Amount:
  • RI resident scholarship: $2500 per year
  • Non-RI resident: $5000 per year

Renewability:
  • Renewable for a second year with a 3.0 URI GPA and continuous full-time enrollment
  • Application Deadline: May 1 for fall enrollment November 1 for spring enrollment
