The Dean's Scholarship Program, a merit award for transfer students, was established to reflect the University’s commitment to rewarding academic excellence. Consideration for the Dean's Scholarship is given to students who have demonstrated strong academic achievement at previous College (s) attended.
To be considered for a Dean's Scholarship, you must be transferring from an accredited post secondary institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (4.00 scale) based on full-time enrollment for at least two semesters.
You must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Scholarships range from $1000-$4000 annually.
There is no secondary application. Awards are based on academic performance and financial need. The amount of each award is determined by the Office of Enrollment Services.
The Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship offered by the University of Rhode Island to two-year college students entering URI as members of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
