Name: Meaghan
Major: Communicative Disorders
Graduation Year: 2010
Hometown, State: Fall River, Massachusetts
Two words of advice: Study! and Live!
My personal motto is: "It is what it is."
URI is unique because: People from all different backgrounds and hometowns can come together to enjoy one of the most important experiences of our lives ...COLLEGE!
My goal: Speech Language Pathology
My favorite food on campus: Bagelz's bagels and Freshen's smoothies
My best URI moment (so far): Becoming a Tour Guide!
My biggest surprise at URI: The amount of activities on campus throughout the school year ...there are endless things to do
My favorite place on campus (and why): The Memorial Union (because it is the center of campus where everyone comes together in one awesome place)
On the weekends I: Hang out with friends, go to football games, sit out on the Quad, and study
My favorite class (and why): Spanish (because I find learning a new language fun and interesting). At URI, you get to experience a different culture and get to speak a language other than your own.
I selected URI because: the New England setting, beautiful campus, and the communicative disorders program
I am involved in: Tour guiding, URISSHLA (URI's Student Speech, Language, and Hearing Association), URI Dance Company, Phi Eta Sigma, and intramural field hockey
