Students coming to campus

My URI

Name: Sam

Majors: Secondary Education and History

Graduation Year: 2010

Hometown, State: Wayne, New Jersey

Two words of advice: Organization. Involvement.

My personal motto: "Pain is weakness leaving the body.".

URI is unique because: It offers the feel of a big university, without actually being too many people.

My goal: High School History Teacher

My favorite food on campus: Calzones from the International Zone

My best URI moment (so far): Getting into Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity in Fall 2006

My biggest surprise at URI: How easy it was to get involved on campus

My favorite place on campus (and why): The airport lounge on the second floor of the Memorial Union because that is where my friends and I relax and hang out between classes

On the weekends I: Relax, play sports, go to the beach, and hang out with my friends

My favorite class (and why): Education 312 (The Psychology of Learning). The class really focused on what I want to do after college.

I selected URI because: of the school of education, distance from home, being near the beach, and the overall look/feel of the campus.

I am involved in: Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity, Intramural Wiffleball, Volleyball, and Soccer, and mentoring children in elementary schools
