Scenes from the URI Office of Admissions

My URI

Name: Nicole

Major: Nursing

Graduation Year: 2011

Hometown, State: Westerly, Rhode Island

Two words of advice: Absolutely get involved on campus!

My personal motto is: "Everything happens for a reason."

URI is unique because: It is in the middle of nowhere, but kids on campus still find so many ways to have fun

My goal: To graduate from URI as a RN and get my masters to become a nurse practitioner.

My favorite food on campus: Izone

My best URI moment (so far): Is making memories I’ll never forget and friends that will last a lifetime.

My biggest surprise at URI: Is how such a big school can feel like a small family once you find your clique.

My favorite place on campus (and why): is the quad because it is such a big gathering place for everyone on campus and a nice place to kill time between class with friends

On the weekends I: Hangout with friends, boyfriend and sorority sisters.

My favorite class (and why): Nursing 203 because it’s the first hands on class involving skills I will use once I graduate

I selected URI because: It’s close to home and affordable with a great program for my major.

I am involved in: The student alumni association, tour guiding, Greek life.
