Scenes from the URI Office of Admissions

My URI

Name: Seth

Major: Political Science

Minor: Leadership Studies

Graduation Year: 2011

Hometown, State: North Kingstown, Rhode Island

Two words of advice: Go Big!

My personal motto is: "You are you, that is truer than true, there’s no one alive who is you ere than you."

URI is unique because: It’s so close to everything and offers a small campus feel at a large state university.

My goal: To love what I do and who I am.

My favorite food on campus: Apples.

My best URI moment (so far): Getting on SportCenter after painting my face/body for the mob at the URI/ UMASS game.

My biggest surprise at URI: That I am still relatively skinny and all the opportunities that are still available.

My favorite place on campus (and why): The Koi Pond, its very secluded and quiet.

On the weekends I: Go to providence, beaches, snowboarding.

My favorite class (and why): Honors class on the economy of China because we had 8 students and just talked everyday and at the end our professor brought us all to Kingston pizza and bought us dinner to discuss the final project. It brought the small school fee to a big campus.

I selected URI because: Its close to so many great things.

I am involved in: Leadership program (Institute service project), Student entertainment committee, URI 101 Mentor, Honors.
