ABOUT UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND
The University of Rhode Island consists of seven degree-granting colleges: the College of Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Human Science and Services, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Environment & Life Sciences; there is also the Graduate School and the Graduate School of Oceanography located on Narragansett Bay.

The 11,600 undergraduates and 3,200 graduate students enrolled are served by 750 faculty members, more than three quarters of whom have doctorates.

Undergraduate degrees offered are Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, and Bachelor of Music. Students may also select from a number of minors to supplement their major and develop additional skills. As a Land Grant, Sea Grant and Urban Grant institution, the University maintains a balanced commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and public service.
