Spring Transfer Events

There are no interviews as part of the application process.

Spring 2011 Transfer Information Sessions

Transfer Information Sessions are an excellent way for students transferring from another college or university to learn more about The University of Rhode Island in a comfortable group environment.

During the 45-minute information session, transfer students learn more about URI's academic programs and extracurricular opportunities, the transfer admissions requirements, the application process, financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Please note we do not provide pre-evaluation of transfer credit.

An optional 2:00 pm campus tour is available for any student interested. The student led walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes. Campus food venues and the University Bookstore are open to the public.

The session will begin at 1:00 pm in the Roosevelt Hall Great Room (90 Lower College Rd. Kingston, RI 02881)

*Because this falls during URI's spring break, there will be no student-led tours. We can offer you directions for a self-guided tour.

Parking

Enter campus from Route 138 onto Upper College Road and proceed past the Office of Admission.
Continue through the first intersection (4-way stop sign) to the first building on the right, the Visitor Center (45 Upper College Rd., Kingston, RI 02881).
The Visitors Center staff will assist you with parking information, and provide you with a map of campus and directions to Roosevelt Hall.
Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the Information Session to allow time for parking.

Transfer Admission Online Chats

URI offers transfer students the opportunity to "chat" online with Transfer Admission and the Transfer Resource Center on the first Thursday of the month from 2:30 - 4:00 pm.

Transfer Evening Chats will take place every Monday in March from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

During the chat we cannot address specific questions about your admission to URI. This is to protect your privacy under the Federal Government's Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). We will be glad to answer general questions regarding our majors and our admission process.
