Transfer Housing
Transfer housing in residence halls is limited and provided on a space available basis after current residents have been placed for the coming academic year. For more information about residence hall options and transfer housing availability, please visit http://housing.uri.edu.or call 401-874-4151. Beginning approximately May 1, transfer students will be able to place their name on a waiting list for fall housing.
In addition to residence halls, the University also maintains 15 fraternity, sorority, and mixed program houses as well as three theme houses. For the most recent information about room availability contact our Fraternity Managers Association, greek@etal.uri.edu or call 401- 874-4667.
Office-Campus/Near-Campus: URI has a tradition of assisting our students in finding quality off-campus housing. Many rentals are 10-20 minutes away by car, often close to one or more of Rhode Island's many pristine beaches. Roommate matching services are also available.
