I love being able to help students to be successful in college, to make changes to the system when needed and to create ways to help them have the most fulfilling time while here.

I am interested in books, in hiking, and in group dynamics.

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
Knowing that they can all make it, when the time is right. Seeing those who struggle walk across that graduation stage.

Confessed workaholic, but only things that matter deeply to me. On the board of the Pawtucket Credit Union, and a strong advocate/volunteer for Melanoma Foundation of New England.

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
Coming to college is a huge social/emotional/academic adjustment for people. I love to see the personal and academic growth students experience as they discover themselves on a college campus. I also enjoy helping students explore their interests/skills and relate that to careers and majors. Students are often fascinated by all of the possibilities.

Something interesting you want to share about yourself (e.g. hobbies, interests, travel experiences etc.)
I was born in the Dominican Republic and am fluent in Spanish. I travel back home very often to visit family and to enjoy the beautiful beaches and landscape.

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
I enjoy getting to know my students  through both advising and in the classroom.  I feel privileged to be a part of their journey toward understanding themselves as students, as well as discovering who  and what they want to be in the world. College is an exciting time of great personal discovery!

I am the mom of two college age sons .  When I am not at URI, I enjoy being outside, particularly on the ocean. I also enjoy involvement in community service both here and abroad. I am deeply dedicated to working with children and families.

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
I enjoy working with UC students, helping them to focus their career goals and to position themselves for academic success. The first few semesters of a student's academic career is a time of challenging long-held ideals and exploring new opportunities. I find it exciting to be part of this process.

I enjoy exploring the beaches as well as painting in oils, particularly florals and lighthouses. However, my most treasured pleasure is re-discovering the world through the lens of my granddaughters' eyes.

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
I enjoy being a part of the various stages of the student experience.  From the beginning where a student may not know what direction they want to take through the end when they are excited about their chosen major and ready to begin the next chapter in their careers.

My interest in higher education as a profession began before I even knew it was a possibility.  I was a work study student for an Academic Advisor and an Orientation Leader as an undergraduate. This is when it clicked that working with college students was something that I may want to do as a career.

Being able to give the students/parents personalized attention in this increasingly automated world.

I enjoy spending time with my family, walking the dog, and painting in my art studio. (Some of my seascapes can be seen on the walls of UC).

What is it about working with UC students you enjoy most?
I really enjoy being passed from student to student in the hall, and kissing their noses. I also like to run around in the Great Room and play.

I love my bone, and I have a great wardrobe already. My travel experiences include North Kingstown where I live, Roosevelt Hall, and Barlow Hall where I have made many friends.
