Registration

Many general questions regarding registration can be answered by accessing the UC FAQ’s section of this website at: Academic Advising FAQ. or by viewing the URI101 Academic Advising Presentation

Here’s an idea of what to expect from the registration process as a UC student:

1.        You should know that it is your responsibility to plan for registration each semester. A good way to plan ahead is to look at the detailed version of the URI Academic Calendar online at: http://www.uri.edu/es/calexams/detailedcalendar.html . 

2.     Login to e-campus to check your “enrollment appointment” (when you are able to register for courses). After logging into the system, follow this path: Home > SA Self Service > Learner Services > Academics> View Enrollment Appointment

3.     Make an appointment with your academic advisor WELL  BEFORE registration time, so you will have easy access to advisors with much more time to learn about each other, and about your course options.  Use the e-Campus system by following the path: Home>URI Advisement>Student>Make Appoinment with Advisor.   If you need assistance, UC Quick Question Advising or UC Peer Mentors can help as well.

4.    Resolve any holds on your record that block you from registration

5.     Review the Course Schedule to select what courses are being offered and which courses have seat availability. Use the advanced search option to narrow down by campus and/or times and days of the week.

6.    Register for classes as soon as the system allows you to do so.  If you have any difficulty whatsoever, please stop in and see UC Quick Question Advising

A Word to the Wise about Registration…

The most important thing to remember about registration is to meet with your advisor and register in a timely manner. As any upperclassmen will tell you, a day or even an hour can make the difference for securing the more popular classes and more popular times!
