The natural wonders
of the earth are remarkable! Earth Camp is a 6-day, 5 night
overnight adventure exploring our environment.
While we certainly enjoy the great outdoors, we also
offer comfortable accommodations.
These include cozy cabins with bunk beds and hot
showers, a private lakefront, and great food in our dining
hall! Campers are
separated by age into co-ed field groups and single-sex cabin
areas. All
programs include swimming, canoeing, and traditional
camp activities. Each Sunday begins a new camp session.
Check-in is Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM. Camp ends Friday
with a family program at 2:00 PM followed by check-out
at 2:30 PM (a photo ID is required).

Become a farmer for a week! Help
feed and care for the farm animals and collect eggs from the
chickens at Woodvale Farm. Learn about grooming and milking techniques. Prepare a garden bed for planting, plant the seeds, and
tend the gardens.

Ever wanted to stay up late every night for a whole
week? Night Owls do just that! A late--but not too
late--bed time give you plenty of time to learn about the
night, nocturnal animals, stars, owls, and bats.

Get ready for the wide world of wildlife! From fields to
forests and wetlands to lakes, you will spend each day
exploring the W. Alton Jones and the animals that make it their
home. Take a
special trip to Roger Williams Park Zoo to
learn about conservation and animal
behavior.

The forest is an amazing place. Explore oak forests, meadows,
pine groves and fields. Visit with a Wicked Cool Scientist,
go on a night hike and spend a night cooking over the campfire
and camping out in tents.

Waterworlds
Ages 9-12
Learn to canoe, hike up a stream, catch and learn about aquatic
insects, fish, turtles and frogs and explore the difference
between a pond, a stream and a lake. Spend a day at the coast
learning about marine ecology and playing in the surf. Campers
are divided into younger and older groups.

The
Art of Nature
Ages

Let your surroundings inspire you! Become a nature
artist as you learn to look at nature in a new way.
Pencil sketching, journaling, photography, and watercolor
painting among other mediums will open up your creativity
outdoors.

Bay

Immerse yourself in the ecology of Narragansett Bay!
Travel by ferry to Prudence Island in the heart of the bay
where you will explore for 3 days. With the help of the
Narragansett Bay Research Reserve, you will snorkel, explore
salt marshes, go crabbing, study a tidal creek, and seine for
fish. Finish with an an oceanography cruise.

Outdoor
Skills

Get hands-on lessons in map and compass reading, outdoor cooking,
safe fire building techniques, canoeing and no trace camping.
Once you get the basics down we will set off for a two-night
backpacking adventure. Sleep in rustic screen-house cabins when
not backpacking.

and stars, go on extended night hikes and play night games.

Explore marine-life. Look beneath the surface of tide pools,
salt marshes, coastal ponds and barrier beaches. Co-sponsored
with Mystic Aquarium, where you will sleep over in The Undersea
World with the fish. Learn about the sea aboard Project Oceanology’s
boat Envirolab.
