W. Alton Jones Campus

With Teen Expeditions, each day brings a new physical and mental adventure requiring determination and the ability to try hard while discovering new skills, challenges, and places.

Whether staying at Alton Jones, setting up a base camp at a public campground, or hiking, canoeing, or kayaking to a new campsite each night, each group will be completely independent. Camping is in screen-house cabins when at Alton Jones and tents for off campus trips. Everyone helps cook on camp stoves except when meals are provided.  Except where noted, all trips are appropriate for beginners and run Sunday through Friday, except weeks 2 and 6, which run Sunday through Thursday.

Check-in is Sunday from 2:00-3:00 PM.  Camp ends Friday, except for weeks 2 and 6 which end on Thursday, with check-out at 3:00 PM (a photo ID is required).  Expeditions are listed in order from easiest to advanced in regards to stamina, strength required, and distance from home.
