Environmental Education Center

The rustic, yet comfortable Environmental Education Center Main Lodge consists of:

  • A knotty pine dining hall with hardwood floors and fieldstone fireplaces.

  • Five classrooms and one large conference room that can accommodate up to 100 people.

  • A sand volleyball court, bocce court, and multi-acre recreation fields, for games and activities.

  • A wheelchair accessible dining hall with family style or buffet-style meals.




  • Cabins

    The six cabins:

  • Have polished wooden floors and sturdy wooden bunk beds.

  • Are winterized and heated.

  • Have hot showers and lavatory facilities

  • Can accommodate 16 to 20 people.

  • Have separate sleeping rooms for adult chaperones.

  • Provide wheelchair accessibility.




  • Weekend Facility Rentals for Conferences and Retreats

    On Weekends and at some times during the week, the Environmental Education Center facilities are available for rent. They provide:

    A rustic, yet comfortable and affordable place to host a company picnic, or conference.
    Five classrooms and large room for small or large group meetings.
    A dining hall that can accommodate up to 150 people for meeting or home cooked meals like New England clam bakes, barbecues, or more traditional fare.
    TV's , VCR's, slide projectors or overhead projectors are available as needed.



    Low Ropes Challenge Course

    Facilitated challenge course activities are available for school, youth, college, and adult groups. Both one-day and overnight programs are available.

  • Elements include wall, rope swing, spider web, tension traverse, wild woozey, and swinging log.

  • Programs for school, youth, college, community groups, or corporations can be arranged.

  • Traditional topics include examination of issues found within schools, the community, or the workplace such as role identification, trust, communication, and leadership.
