Create the memory of a lifetime by holding your wedding at Whispering Pines. This beautiful country estate, nestled among 2,300 acres of secluded pine forest, murmuring brooks and pristine lakes, provides a unique and intimate setting for your wedding day. Accommodating up to 130 guests with care and culinary perfection, we offer a true “weekend wedding event.” So you and your guests can arrive early, enjoy time with one another, and get ready for the long awaited day. A central meeting place is our main lodge’s grand mahogany deck, where Lake Eisenhower provides a backdrop for conversation and celebration late into the evening. After the reception, we offer a lakeside campfire for a nostalgic close to your special night. If you are planning a wedding in the colder months, we do have charming indoor settings to accommodate as well. Whispering Pines is a location like no other, a destination with ample accommodations, outstanding cuisine, and a professional staff to help you plan and coordinate your wedding. If you are planning a wedding in New England, we look forward to helping you make it unforgettable.
Whispering Pines Ceremony We offer white wooden garden chairs with cushion seats. There is a $5 per chair rental fee. However, if you choose to have your ceremony inside the Laurel Lodge, you may use our (90) green conference chairs at no extra charge. Winter ceremonies can be held in front of a grand fieldstone fireplace, but no candles with an open flame are allowed. Ceremonies held in the Laurel Lodge or lakeside may be decorated to provide personal touches.
Cocktail/Hors D'oeuvres Your cocktail reception may be held outside on our grand deck overlooking Lake Eisenhower, or in the Whispering Pines Main Lodge during colder months. There is no additional charge for the bar to be set up or the bartender service during the five-hour reception. Upon arrival to the reception, guests may help themselves to hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, which includes the following:
You may decorate the Whispering Pines Main Lodge and deck to add personal touches. Cash or open bar is available. Charges are based on individual drink consumption. An 18% service fee will be added to the final bill on all open bar charges. Dinner Package We understand that great food is essential. Our menus for weddings are entirely customized to meet your needs, then prepared to uncompromising standards. We take great pride in serving the finest cuisine available. Dinner charge includes hors d'oeuvres, fruit, cheese and vegetable spreads. Your buffet or sit-down dinner includes the following:
Whispering Pines provides table linens, napkins, stemware and china for you at no charge for up to 130 guests. A late night snack after the reception and a full breakfast buffet for overnight guests are also included. Extended Reception Fee The Cocktail and Dinner receptions are reserved in a combined five-hour block of time. If you would like to extend the reception time, there is an additional $500 charge per hour and should be confirmed approximately one month before the event. After Reception Gathering You may stay at the Whispering Pines Main Lodge or relocate festivities to the campfire. This offers guests an opportunity to change into comfortable clothes and wind down in Adirondack chairs around a large campfire. Bartender service is available until 12:00 midnight. For liability reasons, Whispering Pines must provide alcoholic beverages. Recreational Facilities All Whispering Pines guests are welcome to use our recreational facilities: hiking trails, canoes, volleyball, croquet, bocce ball, horseshoes, basketball and tennis (tennis rackets are not provided).
Deposit Structure 15% deposit and signed contract is needed to book the date. 35% deposit is due 3 months before the wedding, with the remaining balance due 72 hours BEFORE the wedding. All bills must be settled the day of the event. We are happy to hold a date tentatively for up to one week. After one week, a decision is required to book the date or release it.
