The URI Main Art Gallery supports the art and art history department's mission to educate art and art history students and the Rhode Island community at large in the contemporary concepts, context and cultural value of the production, analysis and historical significance of the visual arts.

The URI Main Art Gallery organizes six major exhibitions during the year and host numerous special art events for URI students and the Rhode Island community.
