Announcing the First Annual Student Award The Department of Art and Art History administers a grant funded by the RI Sea Grant program. It supports the efforts of visual artists whose work relates to the marine environment. Please look at the Department website to see examples of artists who have won the award since 1988. This year for the first time we are awarding a student artist an award of $500. 1. Submit 1-5 works to the following email: uriseagrant@gmail.com Deadline December 25, 2011. The award will be announced by the beginning of Spring 2012 semester. |

Carlotti Exhibition Fall 2011 Work is being accepted NOW through October 6. Please submit your drawings, prints, paintings, collages, photographs or small sculpture to the designated shelf in the painting studio, A101. Leave your name & contact information on the back of the work. Accepted work will need to be framed by October 17.

ATTENTION URI STUDENTS ART COMPETITION Cash Award of $500 Original art is being solicited from the URI student community for President David Dooley and Lynn Baker-Dooleys Holiday Card. Each year the President of the University sends a holiday card to a select mailing list. The winner will have a copy of their work sent to thousands of leaders in various professions in RI and elsewhere. An online animated version will also be produced. Winifred Brownell, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, will pick a second place winner. Guidelines Work in any medium accepted. Do not design a card. URI Publications will design the card with the award winning art.
Deadline: Thursday October 6th, 4pm, Notification by October 20th
