Junior Scholar Fellowships

MSWord version of this page

The URI Center for the Humanities has limited funding available for junior faculty in the humanities who are seeking a course release to help complete a research project. Preference will be given to those scholars who expect to come up for tenure within three years following the award of the fellowship. Funding will be provided to humanities departments to hire a replacement instructor for the individual receiving the fellowship. The Center expects junior scholars to consult with department chairs to determine the most appropriate time to apply for a fellowship. Only tenure-track faculty members are eligible.
