BIO
Sharman Brown joined the Department of Communication Studies staff as an Instructor at the URI in 1991 after working as a College Corporate Recruiter, a Consultant in the Outplacement business and a Career Counselor in the College Career Services field. Her teaching interests are: public speaking, persuasion, designing career search vita and preparation for the interviewing process.
Harrington School of Communication and Media Lecturer, Dr. Samara Anarbaeva, presents her paper exploring the construction of Second Life avatar's identity in terms of race, gender, and fashion.
Ian Reyes, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of
Communication Studies, was instrumental in establishing a new
