Public Relations Internships
An internship experience is a vital component of the Public Relations Major. An invaluable learning opportunity, the internship experience is designed to advance your career plans.
Consider approaching the internship experience as you would a job search. Investigate places you would like to work and then pursue an internship opportunity with their Human Resources Department.
Internship Requirements:
- Meet with Regina Bell, Internship Coordinator, to review the internship contract.
- Review all details and expectations of this internship experience with the internship coordinator of the company for which you will intern.
- Three-credit internships require 120 hours; six credit internships require a minimum of 240 hours.
- Register for PRS491 to fulfill the internship requirement. It is possible to earn PRS491 credits as part of a semester-long internship through the Office of Internships and Experiential Learning as long as you meet the prerequisites for PRS491.
All internships must be approved by Regina Bell, Public Relations Internship Coordinator.
