Thirteen Days

April 28 Thirteen Days
Consider the role and obligation of government in informing citizens. How does truth/deception/propaganda impact the economy? Also, consider how effective is cinema in creating a period piece dependent upon historical figures?
Now, split up into 5 groups of 3 to research some topics that would fall under a conspiracy theory heading.
Choose from among the following:

1. Military plot to blow up planes and blame it on Cuba

2. Watergate

3. Iran-contra

4. Kennedy Assasination

5. Aborted military coup in WWII

Each group will report on its respective topic in whatever manner you deem most effective. Some of these have great films surrounding the events. Consider using those in some way. Clips? the point is to ensure that everyone sees the impact of these events and gets a sense of how film leads the story or the story leads the film. Wag the Dog?
