Open Positions—Spring 2008
The following full-time and part-time teaching positions are open in the College of Arts & Sciences for the Spring 2008 semester only, but continuation is possible depending on curricular needs and funding. These positions will be available until filled. The Spring 2008 semester begins on January 23rd and ends mid-May. If you are interested in any of the following positions, you should contact the person indicated.
FULL-TIME POSITIONS
SOCIOLOGY. Possible full-time lecturer positions for Spring 2008 semester. Teach four courses. MA in Sociology or related discipline required; prior college-level teaching experience preferred. Email CV and letter of interest to Professor James Loy at jimloy@uri.edu.

PART-TIME POSITIONS
ANTHROPOLOGY 350, Human Variation. Anthropological investigation into the nature and causes of human biological diversity with emphasis on living populations. Students enrolled in this course will serve as a sample for measuring human variation. Email CV and letter of interest to Professor James Loy at jimloy@uri.edu.
ECONOMICS 202, Introduction to Macroeconomics. This course is an introduction to macroeconomics and covers measures of production, employment and prices, as well as theories of income determination such as the Keynesian model and aggregate demand and supply. Kingston classes available MWF. Each class has a maximum of 35 students. Qualifications: Masters in Economics, college-level teaching experience preferred. FRENCH, ITALIAN, and SPANISH. Classes meet on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule. Duties: teach basic language courses. Qualifications: at least a bachelor's degree in the language; teaching experience a must. PHILOSOPHY 103, Introduction to Philosophy. Kingston classes available MWF 10:00-10:50 and 11:00-11:50. 35 students per section. WRITING 235, Writing in Electronic Environments. This class covers all forms of writing with computers or in web-enhanced environments, including graphic-enhanced text, desktop publishing, and document design.
