1.  This semester one of the "themes" has been misinformation, and one of the areas where that has been most noticeable has been the federal budget.  If you are ready to read one person's view of the future based on the current situation, then you should read Fallows’ "Countdown to a Meltdown" (Resources) and write a review of the article relating it to issues we discussed in class.  This is a very good article and one that ties together many of the things we did this semester so you should be able to follow it without much trouble.  The article is available at online reserves.
