Tips on PowerPoint presentations

Choose two stocks from different industries, for example, a fast food chain and a medical high tech firm.  Collect weekly closing stock prices for the last year as well as a measure of the market as a whole (Dow-Jones, S&P 500). Use the data you have collected to examine the relationships between the percent change in the stock prices and the percent change in the market as a whole.

Write a one to two page report, explaining what the two companies produce, how they are doing and whatever other pertinent information an investor might want to know.  Be sure to include the information on the relationships you have discovered from the exercise in the above paragraph.  Your report should include embedded graphs of these relationships.

Prepare a brief five to ten minute presentation using Powerpoint.  This presentation should be aimed at the investment advisory group for the Economics Trust Company (the class).
