Native speakers of English: Participation in this program is a great opportunity to gain some cross-cultural and international education experience. All students interested in sharing their culture and learning about new cultures, making new friends and developing leadership skills are welcome. Students will receive written acknowledgement of their voluntary participation. Also, you may want to check with your instructor(s) if your participation in this program can fulfill the Service Learning component of a particular course.
Non-native speakers of English: Participation in this program is not restricted to students enrolled in ELS courses. It is open to all international students and visiting scholars on campus. Find a conversation partner to improve your English proficiency and learn more about American culture and academic life at URI.
