Gina Valentino’s research interests in contemporary comparative ethnic and literary studies include class mobility, globalization and neoliberalism, gambling and U.S. culture, American Indian, Asian American, African American and Chicana/o literatures. She is co-editor of Transnational Asian American Literature: Sites and Transits (Temple UP). Her current book project, Hustling: Work, Survival, and U.S. Literature in the New Economy, analyzes race and working-class identities in late-twentieth century U.S. ethnic literatures.
