2007 Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Conference
The Graduate Student Conference was held on Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 8:00 am to 5:45 pm in the University of Rhode Island Memorial Union. The conference was sponsored by the URI Graduate Student Association.
This multidisciplinary conference (“Identities: Individual, Cultural, National …”) was a great success, with attendance topping 100. We provided a forum for the work of graduate students from URI and 30 other national and international schools. Presenters spoke on a broad range of disciplines, including literary studies, writing, law, history, nursing, business, drama, film and media studies, art and art history, women’s studies, and multicultural and gender studies.
