• OASIS Magazine: Neal Storrs, Ph.D., Editor & Publisher, OASIS, P.O. Box 626, Largo, Florida 34649-0626. (813) 449-2186. Oasis is a quarterly literary magazine appearing in January, April, July and October.
  • FICTION : Stories of any length, dealing with any subject. About every other issue of Oasis contains LF. Primary (if not sole) criterion is quality of writing. The style should be powerfully original, and married to its subject--non-derivative in its own right.

  • POETRY : Sensuous, musical, no superficial sentimentality or old-fashioned rhymes or rhythms. No limit to number of poems submitted at one time.

  • NON-FICTION : Rarely publish non-fiction, but will consider essays on any topic as long as they're written in a literary language--not journalese. Length: open.

  • TRANSLATIONS : Fiction, non-fiction, poetry from any language. May ask to see original.

  • PAYMENT: $15-50 per prose piece, $5 per poem. Complimentary copy. Payment on publication. Purchases first rights only. SASE required. Almost always respond on day of reception. Price per issue is $6.00, $7.50 by mail to cover shipping. $20 for annual subscription. Check payable to "Oasis."

• NEW WORLDS: White Wolf Press has contracted with British editor David Garnett to underwrite two new volumes of his interrupted SF anthology series New Worlds. The first is due out in August, 1997; the second, a year later. Payment: $70 per 1,000 words.
