Michael Vincent Dow received his B.A. in Art History from University of Massachusetts Boston, and his M.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He is currently completing his dissertation, "The Death of the Chase: The Social Psychology of the Post-World War II American Animated Cartoon," through New York University. He has taught classes and specializes in American cinema (with a particular concentration in American animation), visual theory, film and modernity, the horror film, and the cinema of Alfred Hitchcock.
