Marina Shron is a writer/filmmaker, a recipient of James Thurber, Jerome, and NYFA Fellowships and a Fulbright Senior Scholar Award. She received her MFA from New York University.

Marina's short films have screened at festivals around the world including Cannes, aired on PBS, and have been honored with awards including the best short at Toronto and the Hamptons International Film Festival, Accolade and Maverick Awards, and the Creative Spirit Award for Originality/Creativity.

Marina's current feature projects include Buddha's Little Finger (German-Canadian coproduction, now in postproduction) and X-tina (Rising Star Award in Screenwriting at Canada International Film Festival), the film she wrote and intends to direct. In addition to teaching at the University of Rhode Island, Marina teaches screenwriting and film theory at The New School and Montclair State University.
