ART215 Video & Filmmaking I
This course is designed as an introduction to experimental filmmaking
processes and techniques. Equipment students will learn to use includes:
16mm Bolex cameras, lightmeters and lenses. To a lesser extent we will
explore editing strategies and screening alternatives. Class time will
be divided between technical demonstrations, film screenings, hands-on
projects, discussions and critiques. Students will need to pay for all
their own processing costs throughout the semester, film stock for their
final project and splicing tape. Budget between $150-250 for the semester.
