Harrington School of Communication and Media

The Harrington Rangers

The Harrington Rangers are a select, talented group of students majoring in one or more of the Harrington School of Communication and Media programs. Hired to increase awareness of the Harrington School and offer advice as we develop and grow, the Rangers act as proud, brand ambassadors. They help plan and represent the School at events, coordinate on-line and traditional outreach and marketing, meet with prospective students and parents, and provide peer-advising for current students. Although they have only been together a little more than a month, the Rangers have already demonstrated outstanding leadership and support for the Harrington School.

Event Involvement:

The Harrington Rangers provided essential support for the very successful Ignite: Harrington event on September 27.They were involved in helping plan and execute the marketing campaign, including distributing flyers, speaking to classes, sending emails, and posting promotional information on social media, which resulted in a standing-room only audience. In addition, they all assisted during the event from working the entrance, to helping manage the crowd, to the clean-up after the event. Also,Colby Blanchet produced a promotional video, and Colby,Ashley Kuhar, and Julianna Kurucz introduced the speakers, one of whom is Ranger Kari Lukovics.

In addition to Ignite: Harrington, the Harrington Rangers were also present at the launching of the HUB@LLRC with senator Jack Reed.

The Rangers will continue to play an important and vital role in Harrington School events.
