Attention Students interested in joining Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society

If you would like to join the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society you'll need the following:

  • A minimum of 4 courses in History and a 3.1 History GPA plus an overall GPA of 3.0
  • A check for $45 made out to Phi Alpha Theta (URI)

The induction ceremony will take place in late April (Date, Time and Location to be determined).


The Phi Alpha Theta website offers ample information on meetings, grants, fellowships, job postings, news, blogs etc...

Inducted members usually receive a one-year free subscription to The Historian, the society's Journal.
