Dr. Patricia E. Jensen Scholarship

Dr. Jensen joined the faculty in January of 1978. During her tenure at GSLIS she coordinated both the School Library Media Program and the regional program. She taught courses in cataloging, non-print media services, school library media services and supervised students doing their school library media practicums. She retired in December of 1991.

This Scholarship was established by GSLIS faculty to recognize students in the GSLIS regional program taking courses during the summer session who show excellence in their academic work.

To apply for the Patricia E. Jensen Scholarship, a GSLIS regional student in good standing should submit to the Admissions and Awards Committee by February 15 a packet including:

• a cover letter, nominating yourself for the award and highlighting your special qualifications for it;
• a completed application form;
• your resume and program of study; and
• a statement of financial need.

Applications will be evaluated for evidence of academic excellence and financial need. This award is only open to matriculated students in the regional program.

Announcement of the award will be made at the GSLIS Annual Gathering.
