I am finishing my master's degree in Library and Information Science at the University of Rhode Island, which, if you are viewing this site, you undoubtedly already know.
I currently live in Newport, but I grew up in Scituate, Massachusetts. I attended Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA and got a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. I decided to become a librarian after a brief career in social work, when I got a job in interlibrary loan at the University of Pennsylvania's VanPelt Library. Currently, I am a researcher and information specialist at Foresight Science & Technology in New Bedford, MA. This summer, I have been invited to 10 weddings. I have been to 4 already, and the next is my brother's on August 7th at the Water's Edge Resort in Connecticut.
