Our Mission & Purpose

The Dighton-Rehoboth Library Media Program exists to ensure that all students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. Supporting and expanding classroom learning, the library media center is the educational hub of the school.

The mission statement declares that the library media center should be the hub of the school, connecting the grades, curriculum, and school community. The library should work to provide access to information, promote literature appreciation, and help in creating lifelong learners. Therefore, the purpose of this site is to further promote and support this mission, keep patrons informed about the library in general and allow for their feedback, and be a supplemental resource that enhances the work being done in the physical space of the library.
