What is Information Policy? Copyright © 2010 C. Herbert Carson Information policy is at the very center of a library or information center's function. At the local level policy decisions must be made so that the collection will be organized in a way that it will be easy for users to access materials in the collection. Information policy is also of great importance to librarians and information specialists at the national level. Decisions regarding creation, publication, dissemination, storage, access and use of information are made at this level that affect us at the local level. | |||||||||||||||||||||
