Hub Topology

The Hub Topology is also a centralized network topology with a physical layout that looks similar to the star topology except that a multiplexer is at the center and the server is on one of the nodes. All information passes through the multiplexer that acts as a traffic cop.
Advantages are that the maintenance is generally low and it is faster than the star topology. The cost of the wiring is also a disadvantage of this system.
