------------------------------------------------------------------------
Annotations Assignment
Because it is very important that you gain an understanding
of the issues and challenges of the role of information and technology
in the world today, you are to read fifteen (15) current articles (post 2001) on topics of the course and write an annotation for
each article. You will
cite the article using the APA format (see APA Style Manual and/or Electronic Reference Formats Recommended by the American Psychological Association- PDF document). Each article chosen should reflect the topic for the week and should be done by the date assigned (see Course Outline). Each annotation will be worth one (1) point toward
your final grade (total of 15%).
The first six annotations should be attached to WebCT emails to me. Attaching
these files in rich text format (rtf) usually works best if you use a
program other than MicroSoft Word. Once the first four annotations have
been graded by me, you may use my suggestions to resubmit any with grades
less than one to raise the grade to one point. The last eleven annotations
cannot be upgraded from a grade less than one but you will be expected
to make the suggested changes on your website.
When you post your website during the week of 2/19-2/25/07, you should
post the first six annotations as well as the seventh annotation
that is due that week. All annotations for the remainder of the course
should be posted on your personal website by the date due.
When all fifteen annotations have been posted on your website, you will
be given a cummulative grade for the overall quality of the articles used.
This grade (5%) will be based on the appropriateness of the articles to
the topic for the week, the depth of the articles (not all one page articles),
the variety of journals used, and the overall quality of the annotations
you have written.
