LSC 508 INTRODUCTION TO INFORMATION
SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Objectives: 10/25/06 As a result of this class, you will: 1. briefly describe at least four basic perception theories. 2. describe the visual field. 3. use principles of visual perception such as visual grouping, visual separating and movement in designing and presenting information. 4. use the visual communication techniques of identification, characterization, evaluation, prescription and relating to meet the purposes of the information you develop. 5. discuss the visualization process and use a general development plan for applying the general principles of perception. 6. discuss various options of PhotoShop that can be used to enhance photographs: adjusting color and size, using tools such as the rectangular marque, lasso, brush, eraser, eye dropper, paint bucket and zoom, and copying, cutting and pasting. 7. use PhotoShop or a similar program to enhance a photograph.
