Presentation

Either individually or as a member of a small group, you will plan a lesson directly related the topic of the week using the ASSURE model and present the week of that topic. For example, you might discuss the characteristics of an MP3 player and demonstrate how to use one. You might discuss how to use simulations effectively and demonstrate the use of a simulation using your approach. The ASSURE lesson plan should be emailed to me at least one week before the date the lesson is to be presented. If you choose to present the lesson by yourself, you will have ten to fifteen minutes to present the lesson.

If you choose to present the lesson as a member of a small group, the group can consist of either two or three members. Two member groups will have twenty to thirty minutes to present their lesson, Three member groups will have forty to forty-five minutes. Upon completion of the presentation, each member of the small group should send an email to me with a grade for the participation of each member of the group including yourself. The grade should be based on 5 points where:

• 5=outstanding, contributions couldn't have been better,
• 4=very good, contributions were better than most,
• 3=acceptable, about average contributions,
• 2=below average, didn't contribute as much as most,
• 1=poor, contributed very little,
• 0=unacceptable, contributed nothing.
