Wiki Project

Each student will create one article (the equivalent of a seminar report, but available for subsequent reference by the other members of the class) for our course Wiki (10% of final grade). You will also edit at least two articles by classmates, providing follow-up and expansion (5% of final grade). Possible topics are suggested in the course outline and from the tables of contents from your textbooks, but you are not limited to those topics. If you have a topic that is relevant to the course, you may do the article on it after receiving permission from the instructor. The article is due on the date the topic is listed on the course calendar and will serve to support discussion for that week. The topic for your article must be agreed upon with the instructor by 5/28/09 at the latest.

Evaluation of the article will be based primarily (80%) upon the content of the material, i.e., the topic is explained in a clear, unbiased way; identifies important and worthwhile resources; and clarifies implications of the topic for issues relevant to this course including the presents of complete and correct citations. The other 20% will be will be based form (readability, organization, grammar, and spelling).

Due: Article is due by the date indicated on the Course Outline. Editing of others' articles is due within two weeks following the posting of each article.
