Final project (30%). You have three options for this: 1) develop a grant proposal; 2) write a traditional term paper, on a subject within the scope of the course; or 3) write a proposal for original research. This assignment is intended to give you as much freedom as possible for the exploration of your own interests; a grant proposal, for instance, could be for something your library actually needs. Collaboration is encouraged, especially in the development of grant proposals or the execution of research projects. Your decision about an option (and a topic) is due by the third week of class; consult with me as necessary before then.
