Contemporary German Culture
This seminar will cover a wide range of social, economic, cultural and political issues of present-day Germany. Reading a variety of text types, including articles from major news publications and viewing excerpts of newscasts and documentary films, the discussion in this seminar will focus on the lifestyles, values, challenges and everday experiences of Germans at home and at work.
The course will cover aspects of history and major contemporary issues in German society such as the environmental movement and sustainability.
