Monika Hahn graduated from Gutenberg University, Mainz (Germany) in English and French (MA equivalent) and has been teaching foreign languages at German high schools for 27 years. An enthusiastic advocate of the necessity of foreign language learning and cross-cultural contacts for the promotion of world-wide understanding, she has been the foreign exchange coordinator at her school for almost ten years. She is in charge of several German-American exchange programs with US high schools, and also cultivates numerous exchange partnerships within Europe.
Her private interests are–appropriately enough– also centered upon foreign languages and cultures (especially English, French and Italian), traveling and reading.
She is extremely excited about the challenge of teaching at the Deutsche Sommerschule am Atlantikfor the first time.
