Costs

The all-inclusive fees covering room and board (in a double), registration, tuition, and cultural activities for 2007 are:

Full six week program:  $3,400*
Three week program:  $1,950*
 

*Single rooms are available upon request at an extra charge of $600 for six weeks / $300 for three weeks

Early Bird Discount: A discount of $100 (6 weeks) or $50 (3 weeks) will be given for all complete applications postmarked no later than April 1, 2007.

Textbooks are not included. The average cost of textbooks for the German Summer School is $50. A deposit of $200 is required and will be applied to the fee total.

The German Summer School of the Atlantic (Die Deutsche Sommerschule am Atlantik - DSSA) provides intensive German language instruction at all proficiency levels.  Designed with students, teachers, and professionals in mind, the German Summer School offers fully accredited courses in German language, culture and literature in a German-only environment with extensive extracurricular programs.  We can accommodate special courses for engineering and business students, faculty and professionals through a collaboration with the International Engineering Program at the University of Rhode Island.  The German Summer School is located near Rhode Island's beach resorts, Newport, and historic Providence.
